Culture & Connections Expo

The Culture & Connections Expo on March 12th was a vibrant celebration of diversity, learning, and community as our 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade IT students presented visual storyboards of the cultural influences shaping their identities.

Culture & Connections Expo 2024

Under the guidance of Stephanie Colker, our students poured their hearts into this event, and it truly showed. From Tactile Trays to Culture Boxes, they presented homemade dishes, living exhibitions, artifacts, photographs, and cherished heirlooms, all of which vividly brought their cultures to life.
But this Expo was more than just a display of projects; it was a vibrant celebration of diversity, learning, and community. Each student had the chance to shine and share the richness of their cultural backgrounds, creating a tapestry of experiences that make our school community truly unique.

Moreover, the Expo perfectly aligned with our educational objectives, seamlessly bridging Social Studies, English, and French writing standards. Students were challenged to create a visual storyboard that delved into the cultural influences shaping their identities. Whether exploring multiple cultural aspects or diving deep into one, students showcased their understanding through well-researched theses (6th grade) or structured essays (7th grade).

The Culture & Connections Expo was not just an event; it was a testament to the diversity and talent within our school. Congratulations to all the students for their outstanding contributions!
