Everyday Money Choices That Make a Difference

The way we invest, bank and spend can have a bigger impact than we realize. Our money can be used to finance renewable energy or fossil fuels, childcare centers or prisons, healthy food or industrial agriculture. Do you know what your money does when it's sitting in a bank account? How are your investments shaping the world? Join us for a conversation about how families can make thoughtful financial choices that support their values, strengthen communities, and help protect the environment.

Organized by EB's Eco Elders, this event will feature speakers Jen Chan and Laura Pantaleo, financial advisors and employee-owners at Laird Norton Wetherby (LNW). They will share real-world examples and practical strategies for understanding where your money is invested, the impact of banking decisions, and ways to ensure your financial choices reflect what matters most to you. Laura is a former EB parent (!), and both she and Jen bring deep expertise in helping families navigate values-based financial decisions. Wherever you're starting from, and whatever your financial resources are, you'll walk away with useful insights, resources and inspiration to make a difference with your money.

Childcare (with pizza!) available; kindly RSVP.
