Alumni Interview with Sam Arons, Class of '96

We recently connected with Sam Arons, EB alumnus and VP, Energy & Sustainability for San Francisco-based Beale Infrastructure, to learn more about how his time at EB continues to influence his work today.

Alumni Interview with Sam Arons, Class of '96

What Stood Out About EB

Reflecting on his time at EB, Sam highlighted both the strong sense of community and the global perspective he developed during his years at the school.

"I loved my teachers, fellow students, and most importantly, learning French language and culture."

For Sam, learning French was about more than language - it was an introduction to new perspectives and ways of thinking. That international mindset, he says, has continued to shape his professional path.

Sam also credits EB with helping lay the foundation for the global focus that has become part of his career,
"I have had an international focus in my work, and my time at EB prepared me well for this."

A Favorite EB Memory
Like many EB alumni, one experience stands out clearly, "5th grade trip to Paris!"

Experiences like these remain meaningful memories for many EB students, offering opportunities to connect language, culture, and learning beyond the classroom.

Advice for Current and Future EB Families
When asked what he would say to families just beginning their EB journey, Sam shared, "You've made a wonderful choice and investment for your child's future."

Looking Back
Sam’s reflections highlight the lasting impact of an EB education - from language learning and cultural exposure to meaningful relationships with teachers and classmates. These experiences often continue to influence alumni well into their professional lives.

We’re grateful to Sam for taking the time to share his experience, and we look forward to following his continued work in the years ahead!
