Protecting & Educating In An AI World: Recording Now Available!

EB offered another provocative and engaging Parent Enrichment Night for May, this time focused on the hot topic of artificial intelligence. The panel discussion, led by Mathilde Cerioli, a doctor in neuroscience, positive discipline educator and the chief scientist at everyone.AI, is now available to view online.
Staying In The Driver’s Seat This Summer (and Beyond):
How to Protect Children’s Well-Being in An AI-Driven World

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping children’s cognitive, social and emotional development in extraordinary and sometimes overwhelming ways. This is a challenge parents and educators are wrestling with at home and at school, and it is one we must address together as a community.

EB invites you view this online discussion from Tuesday, May 14, focused on helping to understand the AI behind the apps, video games and streaming services our children are exposed to, and explore concrete ways we can take back control of their screen time during the summer break and beyond.

The talk will be led by Mathilde Cerioli, a doctor in neuroscience, positive discipline educator and the chief scientist at everyone.AI, a nonprofit focused on educating about the opportunities and risks of AI for children. Mathilde is dedicated to integrating safe, responsible and ethical technology that will support –rather than disrupt–children’s development.

Anne-Sophie Seret, executive director of everyone.AI, will share new guidelines on children’s use of smartphones and social media by a panel of experts commissioned by French President Emmanuel Macron.

This will be the start of a longer, in-person conversation EB would like to have at the beginning of the 2024-25 school year especially with Middle School students and the parent community. Thanks for your attention to this urgent matter, and thanks to the Parents’ Association for sponsoring this event.
