Volunteering Opportunities
EB was founded by a group of dedicated parents and volunteering is still an essential part of school life. Parents are strongly encouraged to give at least ten hours of their time over the course of the school year. There are many volunteer opportunities, both at the classroom level and school-wide.
Classroom
At the classroom level, parents can volunteer their time by being a room representative, driving for field trips, helping teachers with prep work, sharing a special skill, bringing food for classroom events, helping kids get to school safely in morning carpool, or being an Annual Fund volunteer.
Annual Fund volunteers reach out to fellow parents during the Annual Fund campaign in October, helping the school raise critical funds during the largest and most important fundraiser of the year. Each class has one or more parent Classroom Representatives (“Room Reps”) whose role is primarily to facilitate communication between your child’s teachers and the other parents on non-academic issues. The Room Rep is also the communication link between parents and the Parents’ Association Board.
Being a Room Rep can be very fun! It is a wonderful opportunity to get to know the teachers, the children, and the parents better. It is also a great way to feel connected to the EB community, experience what is going on in the classroom first hand, and to develop a deeper understanding of how the school works. Parents' Association & Events
Ecole Bilingue boasts a dynamic Parents’ Association whose goal is to build positive school spirit and to nurture communication among PA members and the school administration, faculty, and the board of trustees. There are no dues and all parents are automatically members of the Parents’ Association.
There are numerous Parents’ Association committees that parents can join in order to help. Committees include: school-wide community events, fundraising activities, new parents buddy program & welcome, diversity, spirit wear, parent enrichment events, and more.
Parents can help plan and execute the many events organized by the PA and Development Department. It is a great way to get involved and be a part of EB’s diverse community. Events include: World Celebrations Day, the Gala, or La Place du Marché. Read more about these events.

Did you know that some employers will match your volunteer hours with a dollar amount? Check with your company to see if you can log your volunteer hours and receive "Dollars for Doers" match that directly go to EB. Contact your company's HR department to learn more.
